Undone work.....

Perhaps I should really take a lesson from this quote by Emily Bronte...

"A person who has not done one half his day's work by ten o clock, runs a chance of leaving the other half undone." ~ from 'Wuthering Heights'

After all, I started this SAL of With My Needle back in March...not that you would know that by looking at my progress. Well, I should admit to lack of progress! So I decided to pull it out and start on a few of the sweet little swirls which are all around Emily and her tulips on the bottom half of the design. As you could see if you clicked on the link, I have done very little since my last update in May.

Now if you are not a regular reader of my blog or you just want to read about it once again, here is why I call the lady on this The Goode Huswife chart Emily.

Since Jeanne is going to join Saskia and I on our next SAL from Blue Ribbon Designs, we decided to put in some serious work on our With My Needle SAL this summer. We are going to do monthly updates at the last week of each month. I am looking forward to seeing Jeanne's as I know she is much farther along than I am.

Of course, with this extreme heat we are having in Holland this week, stitching is best activity to undertake! *grins*

Well now she is indeed looking lovely and not so tired looking as you'd think. Some of my untouched wips I am scared to bring out incase the moths have been at them lol. x

Emily is looking beautiful as always. I too have brought out one of my WIPS from my basket. It is definitely heating up here in California as well, so I agree, a good stitching activity is a wonderful way to pass the time. Maybe some nice homemade lemon bars would be fun to go along with the stitching...grins...

It looks great so far! I think that stitching is a good thing to do when it's warm.

How lovely, it has been years since I've stitched.

Sure do wish we were warmer here in NY. Today is only 61* F and windy to boot.

Sure hope you'll post your finishing work.

Blessings,
Mel

It is nice to get back to those pieces that got pushed aside for whatever reason. The swirls look lovely next to her dress!

She's such a lovely lady. It would be a shame to leave her unfinished!

Yup, I get it now. I accomplish nothing day after day because I don't see the light of day until after 10 am.

Emily is looking lovely! Enjoy your stitching. It's supposed to turn hot here once again, so I'll be inside, enjoying the air conditioning.

Half dressed and "armless" Emily is still a stunning lady.

Emily is beautiful. And any progress is good progress, as far as I'm concerned.
I'll e-mail you soon to discuss a stitchy get together!

Good luck with this awful weather. If it could be fall and winter for ten months out of twelve, I would be a very happy bunny :o)

Oeh, nice swirls... Like a mcflurry swirl;-)LOL
Great job though, just keep on swirling! Got my 'letterbak yesterday as I told you. The 'letterbak' is BIG, but lovely. SO can I tag along?? please?! And I did my homework. Block 6 of Saskia's house is together, now I have to do the stitchery. Promise it will be finished next wednesday. And lots of ice-tea and quiet stitching, that's how we survive the heat! One day at school, for me though, so have pity with me.

She is going to be so beautiful. Keep pulling her out and doing a few stitches each day. (Does that sound familiar???? Remember, Warrior?) LOL
I never thought when I sent you that pattern and thread, it would become a stitch along.
I am doing the border on your house now. Soon it will be in the mail to you.
Love you, Mom

Well, you haven't completely forgotten about her! Is this another SAL you are talking about or is it this SAL she is going to join?

So lovely! And what a nice post, too! I really enjoy your blog. Just have to mention that again if I haven't recently. I may not have. I can't keep up with myself sometimes. ;)
