Autumn and winter gardens.....

You can find me stitching in an autumn garden this week and not blogging. I am off for a short vacation. We are leaving soon to pick up Saskia and will be meeting two other quilting friends when we get there. We are also starting on another BRD SAL. This time Jeanne is joining us for this stroll around a winter garden as we stitch Baby It's Cold Outside. Here is my choice of linen and thread. I am stitching this 1 over 1 on 28 count linen.

I stitched up a little gift for the owner of the B&B where we will be staying in The Alsace in France. The name of her B&B is Ambiance Jardin.

It is a magical place with an incredible garden. Pierrette collects watering cans and I hope she will like those I have for her. We are looking forward to going there again and I hope the weather is nice enough to spend some time stitching or quilting in the garden.

Have a great week out there in blogland and I will talk to you again as soon as we get back...

I will certainly miss you this week, since I was away and missed talking to you while in Arizona, due to the time difference.
I love the new stitch you are starting.
The watering can is such a perfect gift for the collector. Bet she will love it and the stitched name. Oh, she might like the candy too. LOL.
Love you, Mom

What a beautiful present! I love your crocheting, too. My friend crocheted some dish cloths for me but they're too pretty to use as such--instead, I'm using them as 'coasters' for my jar candles.

Hope you had a great time away!

I hope you had a lovely time, Heidi. I clicked on the link and saw that you are staying in an area with which I am as familiar as I am with this Island. For years we lived in Lahr-Schwarzwald, just across the river, and spent most Saturdays and Sundays in the Alsace, where we shopped and played.

I really love the scissor picture on your header but did you know that one of them appears to be bent? France would be a long way for me to travel but I'd sure like to. My great-great-great grandfather came from Alsace-Lorraine. His first name was Napoleon but last name was not Bonaparte! Fun to see your blog.

I hope you had a great vacation. I love using the project bag you made for me. It is just the right size for my LHD monthly series. Can't wait to see pictures of the garden.
