It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

...at least it is in Ohio with all its snow. So I will celebrate it with a little Christmas finish here in a springlike Holland. *wink*

Yesterday I found this freebie and decided it would be nice to start and finish stitching something on the same day. All my stitching projects at the moment are large. So I dug into my stash and pulled out some 26 count unbleached linen and thread. I was aided along with yummy dark chocolate covered raisins from my friend Carolien who visited on Tuesday for a fun playdate. They are delicious so thank you so much Carolien.

Even though I am having another fibromyalgia attack today, I was able to sew and stuff the little pillow today. I am having attacks much more often than I used to have. I think my having Hashimoto's disease now is making my FM flare ups come much more often.

At least, I have the comfort of needle and thread and can enjoy this finish. I want to make more little pillows including some little quilt block pillows. I am going to use them as bowl fillers for my large wooden trough (dough bowl) at Christmas with some green branches and berries. Oh how I do love Christmas and we have such a long wait until it comes again. *sigh*

Anyone else working on fun Christmas projects? *grins*

Heavens no, I am just starting to knit a sweater. I am back in knitting mode again, my favorite. As you saw on my blog today, we have enough snow for it to be Christmas, and predicted 6 to 10 inches for today. I am so ready for Spring. I am jealous of your weather. Oh well, chalk it up to living in Ohio.
Have fun at the cottage if you get to go.
I just bought dark chocolate covered raisins yesterday. I had not seen them before. They had them at an Amish Bulk food store.
Your little stitch is great.
Love you, Mom

I think it's entirely normal to have at least on Christmas project on the go all year long!

Hi Heidi,

I am glad the raisins are good.
Lovely finish! And no, I'm into lamb 'things' now, no Christmas projects. I bet after my few 'in between' things I will be completely absorbed in Amish patterns ;) Is there an Amish Christmas pattern? Then I'll make it of course :)
Pfff, yesterday I was very much relieved to get an email about the pattern for Elizabeth, it's coming now ...

Yesterday Sofia came home with that lovely yoghurt you gave us on Tuesday. "How do you know it's good?" :)

Have a nice weekend & hugs, Carolien

Such a cute little finish. I'm glad that you posted the link because it's a darling design. You'll be ready for Christmas early with that piece.

Hope you are feeling better and can get more stitching in.

I love the way you finished this cute freebie. I'm still trying to finish up a winter project, but it is not Christmas. I want to work on Easter things but am determined to finish this winter piece before spring arrives. Sorry to hear that your FM is bothering you more. Hopefully warm sunny days will help or at least your outlook will be better!

Just let me say again what a hero I think you are, going on the way you do in spite of FM. You're an inspiration. :D

Not to mention how insanely talented you are!

Nicely done!
I looked up your two health issues and am impressed that you are stitching. Keep up the great work.
Keep the motion going, it makes the hard times easier. Never give up or give in. Best wishes...Karen

What a cute finish - and all in one day! I'm going to get me some chocolate covered raisins and see if that's what I've been missing when it comes to stitching. I know what you mean about the weather in Ohio. My family is there as well, and they are all ready for warmer weather!

This turned out just darling Heidi. As a matter of fact, we had snow today (Ohio) and I also finished stitching two ornaments. I have to think about the finishing part of it. That's a good idea about the trough with ornaments in it. I might have to use my version of it.

While it's not good that you feel poorly (my fibro has been bad lately, too), I'm sure it helped to do something fun and with instant (almost) gratification. Nice finish. Feel better!

No, I'm not doing any Christmas projects - I'm looking forward to spring. We did get some snow yesterday in southwest Ohio but it was gone by noon. Good!
