I heart crazy quilting!

I love adding crazy quilted touches to items I find. One of my favorite things is creating crazy quilted hearts on wooden heart ornaments. When I recently found a black metal heart that was supposed to be set on a table with candles on it, I saw what I wanted to do with it immediately! The metal has a lace look edging so......

I grabbed fabrics and laces from my stash and got started. I just love how it has come out and what better place to hang it that on my quilt studio door...

Well, I love it! You are so creative - I'd have seen just an interesting metal heart, and you saw so much more.

All I can say is, when I come visit you better hide this heart. I love everything about it. The fabric choices are perfect, couldn't be better. FANTASTIC. Oh, did I mention I love it??????
Zoe just left about an hour ago, I will miss her. I put a blog entry on with some of the pictures.
Love you, Mom

It is so cute! I took a crazy quilt class several summers ago and it was really fun. Alas, the quilt lies languishing in the black hole that is my craft room.
