Christmas in July part two

This year, I gave the ladies a bandana in either red or blue and challenged them to make something out of it. You were allowed to keep it whole or cut it up as long as you used it in your handmade gift. Each year, the quilt ladies creativity seems to grow. Here are the gifts from this year. You can enlarge this photo to get a good look.....

Grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy a slideshow of our evening.....

Part three is next. I design or find a small project each year for the ladies. This year I designed a country mobile to hang in the window. I am going to share this project on my blog. It is very simple and can be sewn in no time so great for gifts.

Until my next post...have a creative and fun weekend!

Clever, clever ladies! I enlarged the photo and enjoyed looking at how each one incorporated the bandanna into a gift. I love the bandanna hen in the little appliqued piece!

Such wonderful ideas Heidi and how happy all the ladies looked.

Must say I did admire your garden and you and Jos have worked so hard.
Wish I lived nearer to you.

Isn't it amazing what can be done with a simple bandana? All of the ideas were very creative and I enjoyed you post very much. It looks like you all had a wonderful time. I feel the urge to stitch a christmas ornament....I wonder why? Have a great weekend Heidi and Hugs from CA.
