Sharing my joys...

And what better joy to share than first that of a new start? I loved my last finish and decided not to wait before starting the next of my Blue Ribbon Design sayings. I am so anxious to get another one done and add the patchwork to frame it.

Isn't this such a great saying to go by in life? It is certainly a fun thing to stitch. Notice the new fob on the end of my scissors? It was a parting gift from Barbara who moved back to America. Missing you Barbara but so glad you are so happy. Thank you for your thoughtfulness.

I had a reason to start this one quickly too. After 3 years of stash dieting and not ordering things online, I could not resist when I discovered Beth Twist's Heartstring Samplery. I just love her charts and knew I had to break down and order them. I bought three and they are fabulous! There were so many that I could see hanging on my sampler wall in my bedroom.

I am off now to dig into my linen stash so I can start one of them. I decided which one will be the first. Can you guess which?

The center one of course. You and snow are a love team. You can have every flake we have and boy do we have them. It has not stopped snowing all day. We already have a record Feb. for snow and it is only half over. Ohhhhhh my. George is on his way out to shovel again. It is non stop. Happy stitching.
Love you, Mom

Three years on a stash diet? I'd love to come see your stash! It must be awesome!

I'm guessing you'll start With Thy Needle.

Your sampler wall is wonderful!

Your Blue Ribbon Designs sayings are coming along great.
Three years without falling off the wagon? Now that deserves a reward. And you got yourself a well chosen reward. I also love the Heartstring Primitives designs. Hmmm, my guess for your new start would be the one in the middle, the snowy one, lol.

What a lovely new start. And what a GORGEOUS scissors' fob you got. Mine's blue :o)

Yes, Heartstring designs are beautiful, aren't they? I have a couple waiting to be stitched, too. Unfortunately, I lack the self-discipline to actually start and finish something!

Who could have resisted?
I'll bet that you're going to start with the middle one 'I've got my love to keep me warm'

Love the saying. Love stitching sentences, it give me the feeling I'm a superfast stitcher.

Well, let me guess...you are happy with a needle in your hand... maybe this is the one you decided to start with... I will be patient for one day and I'll see tomorrow what you are doing!

I had no idea it had been three years since you had ordered new stash, so I'd say you were "ready" for the three new purchases (averages only one per year, right?)! As for which one you will start first? I'm voting for "I've Got My Love...." Enjoy!

Hallo naamgenoot!

Grappig!

Heidi,
Another lovely little uplifting proverb :>) This is what I love about stitching, it is so versatile. You don't need to stitch pictures or make useful things like needlecases and intricate accessories to end up with a beautiful piece of work. These little 3 line designs speak volumes and are a nice little reminder to have around to enrich our lives. Your colours are beautiful and your stitching so dainty.
I'm not surprised you were tempted by Beth Twists designs. I love them too.
