Whoopie...another finish!

Well Barb, I think we need to slow down our happy dance. No more polka with my and your finishes coming back to back or we might have to be admitted into hospital. *wink* Yes, another finish for me. I picked back up my second saying from Blue Ribbon Designs.

I have five total to make. If you remember I bought these frames simply because I loved the look of the frame for them. This means playing with fabric to make some of them fit. I am doing each one just slightly different.

All the fabrics will be from among the ones I used for the little patchwork side of the first saying.
This way they will all have a distinct feel while they all still go together well. And I cannot wait to hang these in our new house!

I am so very tempted to start the third one today but am resisting as I have picked up another UFO to work on instead. You may have already figured out that my surprise giveaway happen with each finish. I want to do this throughout the summer with the hopes that I will be giving away a number of handmade things. That alone makes me motivated to finish a UFO as I love making things for others!

I am trying to connect what I make to the finish. This saying is about passion and another of my passion is creating a beautiful garden...

...so here is a fob to celebrate a summer garden. I went back to the post where I showed my start of this project and entered the 24 comments into the number generator. Now in this case, the number 13 turned out to be Hazel over at QuietlyStitching's lucky number. Please email me with your address Hazel and I will get your fob out to you this week. Congratulations and I hope you and your scissors enjoy this little bit of jewelry to brighten it up.

Speaking of gardens, anyone else enjoying the coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show this year?

Woohoe, I'm the first to leave a comment.
I like the combination of fabric and needlework more and more. And these little sayings will be perfect for the new home to be.
Great to read you had a good time in Germany. See you next week.

I really like your creativity and idea to use the same fabric on all the sayings while mixing it up on the patchwork. You do such nice work and the fob is really nice too! Hope you're having a good week. I can hardly wait to be off work tomorrow. I've had Kaje' with hives for several days now and have no idea why. Life is always a little nuts around here but lately it's been even more so, lol! Thanks for sharing your beautiful needle work!

I really love those little stitcheries in the frames! And the color is my favorite too. Is it DMC 115?

You're putting us all under pressure to dig out our bags and get started on UFO's! I seem to have little cloth bags everywhere - but none of your energy and ambition. Well done!

Another pretty finish and another very pretty fob. The winner will be thrilled I bet. The frames are so good for those designs. The fabric on the side is really nice.
Have a good time on your next UFO.
Love you, Mom

I love these. They are wonderful.

I think that fabric and needlework are a great combination.

Haven't been stitching much. I am still trying to get a baby blanket done and it seems endless.

Have a blessed day.

I like your creativity in using the fabrics to make your work fit the frames! I had to come up with something one time on a project that barely had any fabric left on the sides and decided to use fabric to make a bolster pillow. Turned out really good, too! :)

Okay Heidi all out of breath now, just catch it quickly as I am hoping to show another finish probably Sunday . Well done to Hazel ,shes been feeling poorly this week so will have a little lift with that beautiful fob.
I have been drooling over the wonderful flowers and gardens at Chelsea, I wish we had better soil to garden with it is heavy clay. Shall I show you some flowery pics on Sunday me thinks I will. Love the little sayings and I am going to attempt to put fabric with stitching (panic panic) with a Sampler girl design (she has suggested the fabric to go with it,so I am not being brave enough to choose my own!!
Sorry this is so long - off now to put my feet up or I will not be able to do a slow foxtrot on Sunday lol.
Hugs

Wow Heidi - you've come up with some great finishes again. Love the sayings and oh my how they must be looking forward to being shown in your new home.

Congratulations Hazel on your lovely win.

Got home from an amazing trip to TB with DD a week ago yesterday. Only problem was I came down with a cold on the way home which will not seem to go away. Will email you ASAP about the trip.
