It was painted in 1965 but he must have been inside my head as I would LOVE to live here! *grins* What a dream of a house...
I wish I could live here with my own Farmer's Wife sampler. It is coming along nicely and about half quilted now. I am looking forward to having it done and laying it out on my table. In the meantime, I am also enjoying making a red version of the quilt now too. I will have to start sewing these blocks together now as I have about half of them needed for the second sampler. But for now...time to get things ready for tonight...

I love the colours you've chosen for your sampler blocks. They go with the redecoration of your guest room. I'm doing cross stitch squares to frame in fabric for cushions and I believe the hues are the same as yours.
That is a pretty house - Dutch farmhouses are so charming.

Oh what a beautiful farm house and the setting is idyllic. No wonder this is the farm house of your dreams but, you are creating your dream house every day with your natural flair for home making and decorating.

I love your quilt blocks Heidi. They are so pretty, and the color choices are wonderful. I too love this farmhouse. I would love to live on a farm with lots of animals and crops. I know the work is hard but it has always been a dream of mine. Of course this farmhouse sounds like it might be in the Netherlands...perfect...I have always wanted to live there too...grins...Hope your week is a good one...Hugs from CA.
The red quilt blocks are fantastic. I especially like the Squash Blossom. I'd love to live in an old farmhouse too as long as the maintenance was manageable.
That's a lovely painting you shared with us Heidi....as are your new quilt blocks. At my desk at work I have a wonderful photo from a calendar of a little French cottage on a canal. Everyone who comes by my desk likes it - it's my "happy place" when I'm stressed at work. :) A peaceful little place in the country is so appealing.

I heard from a friend in Berlin that said she'd had the furnace on the other morning because it was only 8C, so you're daydreaming of a blanket of snow?
