Each year for my quilt group's Christmas party, I come up with a theme for gifts to exchange. I had been telling my homekeeping online group about my choice for this year's theme...cloth napkins. They decided that they also wanted to do this exchange so I got to make a practice run with them. *grins*
I had them fill in a questionnaire about their dishes and color choices when they set the table. I then gave each person their secret partner's answers. I had Tammy and these are the napkins I made for her.

Many thanks for the lovely napkins, Heidi. I'm looking forward to using them! It was a fun swap and we appreciate your hosting. :o)
What a fun, these napkins! Really sweet, those trees ...
Hugs, Carolien
Oh, they came out so nice. You hit it right for the table and dishes.
Can't wait to see what you get.
Love Mom
What a lovely idea. I like the tree shape.
What a fun thing to do!!!
How pretty!
Even though I am not a Christmas tree person, I love your napkins!
What a darling designs for napkins. I love it! Hugs from CA.
So cute - I love them. Is there a pattern or directions for these Heidi? Not sure I could figure it all out on my own. Here's an odd coicidence....Tammy's dishes look like the ones I just bought 2 weeks ago from Mikasa! I never had white dishes before and thought it would be fun as I could do any sort of table theme I wanted without having to match to my dishes. I love to decorate my table for holidays etc.
What a wonderful idea---maybe a tutorial to come??
You're so organized - planning ahead for Christmas already!
Great napkins! I love that they're not the traditional square napkin. Perhaps now I'll be inspired to make some from the fabric that we bought a year ago!
What a pretty idea - lucky Tammy!
That's a very clever idea and beautifully sewn.
