I finished Chester who is not Chester but Dagi. I changed the colors once again to reflect my handsome little man about the house. He is quite in charge here in our house...meow. *grins* The colors I used are all DMC: 3033, 3782, 3032, 3790, 844 and 504, 502, 500. I tea dyed a piece of 30-count linen.
This design really does look like him. Dagi is a lilac tabby-ticked Mandarin or Javanese cat. When he was a kitten you could see his tabby stripes on his belly, paws and head. Now they are only visible a little on his forehead. He is starting to grow his lion's mane again in his neck so the cold weather is coming.
He was curious what I was doing and crawled into the antique cradle by my table. He was very unhappy at the fact that the cradle rocks though. Silly cat!
I have purchased a few frames for my upcoming designs. I still have 3 more frames I need to find all of which are square. They are more difficult to find. Since we are off to stay at Cranberry Cottage, I have kitted up the next design which is much simpler than Chester and I should have finished in no time. One of the cats will again be changed to Dagi's colors of course. It is an autumn design which is great for stitching in the woods as autumn begins! Can you see my smile? My favorite season is beginning!

Love your cat wall! Dagi is A handsome boy!
I think you've made great progress on your cat wall! Your latest finish is wonderful! Dagi looks absolutely huge in the cradle!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!! I am so envious of your cat sampler wall. I really like this design.
Looks great! Happy to hear you're feeling well enough to stitch. Enjoy your week with Jos!
Wow, from wonderful! Love the colors! Greetings,
Lida
Dagi is very handsome! What a pretty cradle he is sitting in. Your sampler wall is coming along nicely, and I love the colors in your latest finish.
Have a lovely time at the cottage with your new project - it sounds like a perfectly lovely interlude.
Yey....you finished your cat sampler! I am so proud of you and it is just beautiful as usual. I love the colors and Dagi's wall looks great. I am sure he is very happy. He looks so cute in the cradle....Patchie doesn't like things that rock either and always has that " Why do you let this happen to me Mom?" look whenever she tries the rocking chair or of course my little cradle...grins...Have a great time at Cranberry Cottage stitching your next kitty....I admire you so much my friend... Hugs from CA.
Love your Dagi finish. The cat wall is looking good.
Very nice. I like the idea of the sampler wall. I should do that. I never know what to do with my pieces once I finish them. I love using the linen. It looks so much nicer. Linda
Beautiful sampler wall! Dagi is a handsome cat and your conversion of Chester is well well done. Love that frame too!
I am so sorry to read about your eye problems Heidi (just catching up) and do hope the news will be good for you. Your cat wall is looking great, I bet Dagi enjoys seeing all those cats about. I must disagree with you about the seasons I am still hoping we are going to get an Indian summer over here - one can always dream.
Take care my friend,
Love Hazel C (UK)
Your cat is gorgeous!!!! Seriously loving him! I just love your little wall of stitchery kitties.
This is a great finish! The whimsical design is perfect with the other designs you've stitched in honor of Dagi. i don't know if you have an equivalent in Holland, but I found some square frames at the Dollar Store. They're not very pretty, but I figure some spray paint will remedy that. Can't wait to see your next cat finish.
Love the sampler wall and that beautiful cat.
Another super cat sampler, Dagi is such a handsome cat
Oh how lovely, Heidi! It really does bear a most striking resemblance to Dagi! Wonderful job!!
Heidi, this is lovely. Your cat wall is really taking shape. These are all such lovely designs. Dagi looks very comfy in the cradle. Quite a snug fit

You have a very pretty cat! I love fall, too. :)
Dagi is beautiful stitched and in his photos. Your tea dyed fabric looks great too.
Hi Dagi, I think you look very good in that cradle. Tell your Mommy she could put blocks on it so it doesn't rock when you are in it. After all, you are the king.
The kitty stitch is very cute and smiling. It will look great up with all the others.
Keep stitching and having fun at the cottage.
Love you, Mom
I love Dagi's wall of cat samplers. It will be quite impressive when finished because it already is.
