I had to laugh when I read the comments on my last blog post. You see...someone who knows me well now for a while commented that it was easy for me to promise no new starts in January. No my dear Joke; it is not an easy promise to make! I can get myself into major trouble with new starts with just a day left to the year let alone the six days I had at the time. I am resisting all temptations which is not easy...
You see...I received my first issue of Mollie Makes in the morning mail. Oh my! This is such a beautiful magazine and inspires you until your head spins. There was even a beautiful little package of cotton trim included. So I took a UFO break with a pot of tea at my side to look through the pages. I first heard about this magazine some time ago on Christine's blog. Since I had no way to see it, I looked into it online. I still could not find enough information to decide I would subscribe. Then I saw one in my local magazine shop when I went to purchase my monthly British Country Living magazine. It was wonderful but the price wasn't at 12,50 euros for one issue. I did however decide to get a subscription.
And Joke, if you do not believe me just look at this...
I have two crochet and one stitching project all lined up to get started. I will not start them in January....I WILL NOT start them in January....I will not start them in JANUARY! *grins*
And now back to my granny square afghan UFO and Christmas pillow UFO... You see I am really trying to be a good girl.

Oh dear - I think you actually might have had needle and thread in hand when you wrote those 'I will not' notes......I'll bet you've started something new already!
'Will not' or 'hope not', Heidi?!
Just keep reading Mollie and planning, you can hold out...
it's almost February!! I bought the December Issue of Molly Makes, but decided it was too expensive to buy a next one. Though I loved reading the magazine!
Glad the magazine finally arrived. You were just talking about it a couple days ago and wondering where it was.
You might make it, you don't have too many days to go now. lol
Your birthday gifts are on the way, stuffed into a box, so be careful with opening the tape or you will say bye to the items.
Love you, Mom
Dear Heidi,
Only 5 more days left in January...You can do this!!!!LOL. I know how hard this is...I just went through my UFO's last night...but while looking for Christmas ornaments for my daughter I came across a beautiful sampler....you know what that is like....but you have been such a good influence on me that when I finish this gift I am working on I will finish my other sampler first...I think...grins...Hugs from CA. Oh before I forget...I love your header...I am thinking of STARTING an afghan just like it from my yarn stash to remind me of my Grandmother...LOL...
Just keep telling it to yourself, maybe it helps (not for me!!) Greetings
Lida
Haha, that's just the comment you can expect from Mom.. So what are you doing right now?, sitting on your hands?.. Yeah right, I bet you started one just the same. Maybe I should come over, and collect all your new projects, (or just the whole inventory of your studio..LOL)and put it safely away in my shed. Just in case it's getting toooo tempting.
And then I will bring over my two new projects I ordered over the internet (euh 5, 3 are still on there way)LOL, LOL, LOL Sorry, can't stop laughing.
See you wednesday Knuffels
What sort of crafts do they have in this magazine??
I'm still working on Easter gifts, but I may sneak off to do a quickie Valentine. ;)
Oh my! Deep breaths!!
Have a great weekend ~ no matter what you end up doing.... ;)
You WILL not start a new project in January! The month is almost over, so you can do it! And if you don't, you'll have to answer to every one of your readers, LOL.
Dat moet je gaan lukken! Nog maar 4 dagen. En woensdag komen we checken of het je gelukt is!
I believe you will be able to hold out until Feb 1st!!! I love this idea about finishing a few or more UFO's before starting a new project. I will post soon about my finishes, inspired by you Heidi.
blessings, jilly
